Connect Microsoft Teams to OpenClaw

Bring your OpenClaw agent into Microsoft Teams. It works as a Teams bot that can respond in channels, group chats, and direct messages within your organization.

> Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • A running OpenClaw agent. Your agent must be deployed and in a "Running" state on Clawly (or self-hosted).
  • A Microsoft 365 account. You'll need access to a Teams workspace and permission to install apps.
  • Access to the OpenClaw GUI. You'll configure the Teams integration through your agent's settings.

> Step-by-step guide

1. Register a bot in Azure

Go to the Azure App Registrations, create a new registration, and note the Application (client) ID. Create a client secret under Certificates & secrets.

2. Create a Bot Channel Registration

In Azure, create a Bot Channel Registration resource. Link it to your app registration and enable the Microsoft Teams channel.

3. Connect on Clawly

Open the OpenClaw GUI from your Clawly dashboard. Go to SettingsChannels, enable Microsoft Teams, and enter your App ID and client secret.

4. Install the app in Teams

In Teams, go to AppsUpload a custom app and upload the app manifest. Once installed, you can mention or DM the bot.

5. Start chatting

Your OpenClaw agent is now available in Teams. Send it a direct message or mention it in a channel to start a conversation.
