Connect Signal to OpenClaw

Signal is known for its strong encryption and privacy. Connect your OpenClaw agent to Signal and have private, end-to-end encrypted conversations with your AI assistant.

> Before you start

Make sure you have:

  • A running OpenClaw agent. Your agent must be deployed and in a "Running" state on Clawly (or self-hosted).
  • A Signal account. You'll need Signal installed on your phone with a registered phone number.
  • Access to the OpenClaw GUI. You'll configure the Signal bridge through your agent's settings.

> Step-by-step guide

1. Open the OpenClaw GUI

From your Clawly dashboard, click OpenClaw GUI to open your agent's management interface.

2. Enable the Signal channel

Go to SettingsChannels and enable Signal. A QR code or link code will be displayed.

3. Link your Signal account

Open Signal on your phone, go to SettingsLinked Devices, and scan the QR code shown in the OpenClaw GUI. This links your agent as a Signal device.

4. Start chatting

Your OpenClaw agent will now receive and respond to Signal messages. All conversations remain end-to-end encrypted.
